From this eclecticism which created excellence in the French capital, DS Automobiles has come up with a DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG Limited Edition that’s both chic and high tech, and still finished off with the Brand’s refinement and expertise.
Based on BASTILLE specification, this Limited Edition gets additional sophistication and technology. In this special designation, the interior features seats in Basalt Black grain leather, with a steering wheel hand covered in full grain leather and a leather gearlever knob (smooth for the automatic gearbox and full grain with stitching on the gaiter for the manual gearbox). As an option, the colour of the rooflining can be light or dark. The demonstration of incredible expertise from DS Automobiles is finished off with Clou de Paris embossed inserts, Basalt Black leather effect trim on the dashboard and door panels, as well as the addition of thick mats front and back.
Outside, complementing the MADRID 17-inch alloy wheels, the rear windows feature tinted privacy glass and the front is finished with chromed DS WINGS surrounding a Matt Black grille, DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG stands out with a chrome strip on the tailgate saying CROSSBACK and chrome light trim with the DS logo at the edges.
The flush fitting door handles and invisible window surrounds, merging with the bodywork, emphasise DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG’s avant-garde design.
The largest touchscreen in the segment
Connectivity is majorly showcased with the latest equipment in the segment. DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG gets the NAVIGATION infotainment system on a large 10.3” HD touchscreen, showing real-time traffic information with the TomTom Traffic service and Speed Cameras, as well as an invisible radio antenna. At the bottom of the centre console the glovebox has wireless charging for a smartphone. A second USB port in the centre armrest completes the standard equipment.
In addition to air conditioning, front and rear parking aids and SOS & ASSISTANCE services, designed to make emergency or assistance calls and enable telemaintenance, DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG offers PROXIMITY KEYLESS ENTRY & START, for locking/unlocking/starting/stopping the engine without getting the key out.
Electric, petrol or Diesel
By amassing four Formula E titles over the past three years, DS Automobiles has confirmed its expertise in electrification. A 100% electric offering that’s unique to the segment, DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE is also available in this FAUBOURG Limited Edition with the same attributes: no CO2 emissions, a 100kW (136hp) motor, a 50kWh battery, a WLTP homologated range of 341km, rapid charging up to 80% in 30 minutes on the appropriate charging point and full charging in five hours with an 11kW alternating charger.
Thanks to continuing development, with among other things a mass from 1,170kg, DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG largely escapes French environmental penalties. With the automatic gearbox, the range is made up of PureTech 130 Automatic and BlueHDi 130 Automatic. With the manual gearbox, the PureTech 100 Manual and BlueHDi 110 Manual are available.
Eight colours are being offered: Millenium Blue, Cristal Pearl, Pearl White, Ruby Red, Perla Nera Black, Platinum Grey, Artense Grey and Polar White with four roof colour personalisations.
Built at the Poissy factory in the Paris area, DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG is offered from 31,100 euros.
DS 3 CROSSBACK: a range renamed
The DS 3 CROSSBACK range is changing with new naming for specifications: MONTMARTRE, BASTILLE, RIVOLI, PERFORMANCE LINE, PERFORMANCE LINE +, as well as BUSINESS, reserved for companies and new DS Interior names with more choices of cloth, Alcantara®, grain leather and Art Basalt Nappa leather. The DS 3 CROSSBACK range starts from 25,600 euros. Including environmental bonus, DS 3 CROSSBACK E-TENSE is offered from 31,600 euros with a range of 341km (up by almost 7%) following the development of a heat pump, a new transmission ratio and new A-rated tyres. Two Limited Editions are currently available: DS 3 CROSSBACK FAUBOURG and DS 3 CROSSBACK LOUVRE.
