MG Motor has announced the appointment of IEM (Inter Emirates Motors LLC), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, as the brand’s new official distributor in the United Arab Emirates, in line with the brand’s dealer network expansion. The brand seeks to make its range of highly popular cars accessible to as many customers in the country as possible.
Effective immediately, this new partnership comes at a time of record sales for the British-born brand across the Middle East. In breaking into the region’s top ten of car manufacturers for the first time in the GCC in 2020, MG registered more customers than ever before buying its stylish, well-equipped, high-tech, high value cars.
IEM will launch showrooms in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah in the coming week, with further facilities planned for by the end of June. The retail operation will be backed up by a high quality after sales service, including full maintenance support, parts and bodyshops, thanks to significant investment and commitment in the new operation by IEM.
Guaranteeing continued customer peace of mind, all valid warranties and service contracts for MG cars already on the UAE’s roads are unaffected by the change to a new retail partner. All customer data has been transferred to IEM, ensuring that existing owners continue to enjoy the highest standards of customer service.

The MG range marketed in the UAE includes the 2020 Middle East Car of the Year, the new MG HS, which is designed to put the “sport” back into SUV. UAE car buyers can also access the Middle East’s ‘Best Sub-compact Sedan’, the new MG5, as well as the new MG RX8 seven-seater SUV, the MG RX5 SUV, the MG 6 sedan and the new MG ZS sub-compact SUV, all of which are backed up with a best-in-region manufacturer warranty of six years or 200,000km.
The appointment of IEM allows MG to strengthen its presence further in the United Arab Emirates, where the brand already has its regional head office, regional training centre and regional parts distribution centre.
