Ford Mustang Mach 1 UNKL by Ringbrothers (1969)

Ringbrothers, the world-famous custom car builder, unveiled the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, known as “UNKL” in 2019. The “UNKL” is the first Mach 1 to leave its Spring Green, Wisconsin shop after a series of custom designs. The wonderful Mustang from the aforementioned company. This version features the uniquely extended chassis, inspired by classic racing cars, to make the most of road and racing technology in one car.

The UNKL is powered by a 520 cubic inch Jon Kaase Boss engine that comes out with 700 horsepower. Bowler’s reworked Tremec six-speed transmission supports the high-powered engine, and a carbon-fiber QA1 driveshaft transmits power to the rear wheels.

This Mach 1 sound is blown away by the Flowmaster stainless steel exhaust system. Prestone coolant maintains an even operating temperature, while Motul engine oil and gear oil keep the engine running smoothly. A custom BASF blue paint called Big Boss Blue was applied to a smooth body, which was molded using 3M products.

On the outside, Ringbrothers has extended the Mach 1’s body by an inch on each side, giving it a slightly more aggressive styling than the standard car without compromising the classic look. The body of the car is a combination of carbon fiber and steel panels that Ringbrothers reconfigured. Other custom details include billet taillights, reshaped bumpers, trim extensions and an engine bay that was custom built at the Ringbrothers facility.

The UNKL uses a die-cast aluminum Aluma-Frame front suspension, a custom-tuned steering rack, tubular suspension arms and custom-adjustable RideTech dampers. The rear is equipped with QUADRALink suspension and RideTech shock absorbers. The front and rear sway bars are also from Detroit Speed.

The brakes are from Baer and come with massive 6S Extreme calipers. And there’s a custom set of HRE wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S sticky tires measuring 295/35R-19 up front and 345/30R-20 in the rear.

The UNKL’s custom interior is as inspired by race cars as the exterior with Recaro seats, Ringbrothers components, an Ididit steering column, and gauges by Classic Instruments.
