The Chevrolet Superior, Series V was introduced in mid-1926 and was marketed into the first part of the 1927 sales year. These cars had an OHV four-cylinder with cam operated oil pump, belt-driven generator, three-speed floor-mounted manual transmission, semi-floating rear axle and external contracting rear brakes.
This roadster was equipped with a custom speedster body from the Mercury Body Company in Louisville, Kentucky and operational steel disc wheels. Total production of 1926 Chevrolets reached 486,366 units.
