Subaru’s New Electric SUV Lineup Is Ready for Europe

Subaru Uncharted and E-Outback mark the brand’s boldest step yet into the electric age. If you’ve ever loved Subaru for its adventurous spirit, this new EV lineup just turned the volume up. Built on an evolved e-Subaru Global Platform, the Uncharted, E-Outback, and the refreshed Solterra are engineered for thrill-seekers and everyday drivers alike.

These all-electric models keep Subaru’s core values front and center, capability, safety, and confidence in any condition, but now they’re tuned for a cleaner, smarter future.

Subaru Uncharted: The All-Electric Trailblazer

The Subaru Uncharted isn’t just the brand’s first compact electric SUV, it’s a whole new identity. With squared design cues, a high-tech interior, and smart proportions, it’s clearly made for both city streets and dirt roads.

Drivers get a squared steering wheel, paddle shifters, dual wireless charging, and a massive 14-inch infotainment display. The 5.5-meter turning circle and 210 mm of ground clearance give it genuine agility and off-road potential.

Subaru Uncharted and E-Outback Power and Range

Let’s talk numbers. The Subaru Uncharted comes in three drivetrain configurations. The range-topping dual-motor All-Wheel-Drive version uses a 77 kWh battery and produces 252 kW (344 ps), sprinting from 0–62 mph in 5.0 seconds. It offers up to 292 miles of range and 1500 kg of towing capacity.

For those prioritizing distance, Subaru also offers a Long-Range Front-Wheel Drive version. It uses the same 77 kWh battery but delivers up to 363 miles on a full charge. A more affordable FWD option with a smaller 57.7 kWh battery still impresses, offering a 276-mile range.

The E-Outback takes things further, with 280 kW (380 ps) from its 74.7 kWh battery. It charges from 0–62 mph in just 4.4 seconds and offers a range of over 279 miles. With symmetrical AWD, 210 mm of ground clearance, and a dual X-MODE terrain system, it’s every bit as capable as its name suggests.

Subaru E-Outback: Familiar Name, Electrifying Upgrade

Built for adventure, the Subaru E-Outback brings back everything that made its predecessors legendary. You still get go-anywhere capability, but now paired with whisper-silent electric propulsion and lightning-fast torque response.

Inside, the E-Outback remains practical and spacious. It’s longer than the Solterra, with more room for cargo, perfect for long trips or big gear. It also features a full suite of safety systems, from Emergency Driving Stop to EyeSight-inspired assist tech.

Solterra Gets a Performance and Style Refresh

Subaru hasn’t forgotten its first EV, either. The new Solterra receives hardware and software improvements across the board. With dual e-axles delivering 252 kW (344 ps), 0–62 mph comes in 5.1 seconds. The upgraded 73.1 kWh battery now supports more than 310 miles of range and faster charging even in freezing temperatures.

Design updates include a sharper front end, advanced camera-assisted safety features, and a new infotainment experience. It’s a confident evolution that keeps Solterra relevant and competitive.

Subaru’s Electric Future Looks Clear

With this new BEV trio, Subaru proves that electric doesn’t mean compromising on the brand’s adventurous DNA. The Uncharted is the accessible, agile explorer; the E-Outback is the refined power tourer; and the Solterra remains a bold statement of all-electric capability.

UK customers can expect the Subaru Uncharted and Solterra to arrive in early 2026, with the E-Outback following in the summer. Full specs and pricing will be revealed closer to launch, but one thing’s for sure: Subaru’s EV future is shaping up fast, and it’s looking pretty exciting.

Summary

Subaru’s new all-electric SUV lineup brings more than battery power, it brings back the joy of driving with a future-ready twist. With the Uncharted, E-Outback, and Solterra, Subaru combines safety, performance, and rugged personality in a way only it can.
