INEOS Automotive has unveiled its first limited edition vehicle from the newly created Arcane Works division: the INEOS Grenadier Detour. Only 200 of these hand-finished 4x4s will be produced, offering bespoke design elements and customization options for discerning customers.
Debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Grenadier Detour was revealed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, maintaining all the refined dynamics and off-road capabilities of the Grenadier while offering extensive personalization options. Customers can enhance the vehicle’s aesthetics and comfort with a range of external and internal design choices. The Detour is powered by two straight-six, 3.0-litre BMW engines, renowned for their refined performance. Petrol models will feature a custom exhaust system to enrich the vehicle’s sound character and driving experience.
Unique Features and Customization
George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director at INEOS Automotive, explains, “The Arcane name represents the uniqueness of our limited-edition vehicles, rarely seen in the wild. The Grenadier Detour, our first launch, epitomizes this ethos, catering to those who relish driving and appreciate the journey.”
The Detour stands out with its unique 18-inch forged alloy wheels, a specially designed front grille with headlight surrounds, and four exclusive paint finishes: Magma Red, Whiteout Blue, Squall Green, and Storm Force Silver. Each paint job is hand-polished to enhance its finish. Additionally, customers can opt for the Arcane Works bespoke paint option, allowing them to match the vehicle’s color to a sample they provide or an existing vehicle they own.
Personalized Interior
The Detour’s cabin offers high levels of personalization, featuring two new satin finishes for the transmission tunnel, doors, and air vents, along with tactile leathers and fabrics for key driver touchpoints. Customers can choose from four fine-grain Bridge of Weir leathers for the quilted seat upholstery and two cashmere options from Johnstons of Elgin for the headlining. Each Detour will also have a laser-etched aluminum door scuff plate denoting its limited-edition status, and understated Arcane Works badging created by British jewellers, Vaughtons.
Innovation and Future Potential
Arcane Works will continue to push the boundaries of customization and technology. Each limited-edition vehicle will showcase unique features and a tailored name, serving as a testbed for new technologies and systems for future INEOS vehicles. This includes uprated engine modifications, new chassis systems, and innovative materials and features.
Stay tuned for more updates on the INEOS Grenadier Detour and future Arcane Works editions as INEOS Automotive continues to innovate in the 4×4 market.
