Lexus Australia continues to expand its lineup to meet the diverse needs of customers with the introduction of a seven-seat configuration for the SUV flagship LX Sports Luxury grades.
Previously available with five seats only, the choice of a seven-seat Sports Luxury for both twin-turbocharged petrol and diesel powertrains, provides greater options for customers looking to move the entire family in style.
Now in showrooms, the three-row LX 500d Sports Luxury is priced from $176,661 plus on-road costs1, while the LX 600 Sports Luxury is $181,361 plus on-road costs1.
The Sports Luxury now joins the range-opening LX 600 and LX 500d seven-seaters; adding a third row of seats with automatic folding function, third-row curtain airbags and USB-C ports on either side of the third-row seats.
Compared to the five-seat Sports Luxury, seven-seat LX 600 petrol grades delete the existing tonneau parcel shelf while the LX 500d diesel also drops its soft-close doors and 30-litre auxiliary fuel tank.
Lexus Australia Chief Executive John Pappas said the introduction of the seven-seat LX Sports Luxury offers greater choice for discerning Lexus customers.
“The availability of the LX Sports Luxury grade now with seven seats shows our commitment to expand the Lexus lineup to meet the diverse needs of our customers,” Mr Pappas said.
“The third row provides added flexibility for customers of our flagship luxury SUV.”
The LX Sports Luxury grades offer unrivalled luxury and generous levels of standard equipment, including: heated and ventilated front and rear outboard seats with leather-accented upholstery, heated steering wheel, centre console cool box, fingerprint start, second-row Rear Seat Entertainment system and the sophisticated and intricately crafted Takanoha wood trim for the centre console and doors.
LX 600 grades are powered by a 3.5-litre twin-turbo petrol V6 producing a strong 305kW/650Nm while the 3.3-litre twin-turbo-diesel LX 500d develops 227kW/700Nm. Both powertrains are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels with low-range capability and full 3500kg braked towing capacity2.
Customers wanting genuine off-road capability and thrills for the entire family will be offered further choice when the seven-seat GX large luxury SUV arrives around mid-year.
