A Cadillac like this replica finished third overall in the 1954 La Carrera Panamericana road race only two minutes and 55 seconds behind the winner. The grueling event lasted five days and covered 1,900 miles from one end of Mexico to the other.
The original car was equipped with a 331 CID V8, Hydra-Matic transmission, 4-wheel drum brakes and weighed 4,347 pounds. This replica has an upgraded 1961 Cadillac V8 engine, Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission and front disc brakes, but in all other ways just like the original race car.
