The Praga Bohema lap records set across three circuits in four days mark a new era in road-legal supercar performance. This Czech-built machine just proved that lightweight precision, true drivability, and aerodynamic mastery can co-exist, in one jaw-dropping package.
Three Records, Four Days, One Supercar
The Bohema didn’t just break lap records, it obliterated them. From Autodrom Most to Automotodrom Brno and then Slovakia Ring, the Bohema carved seconds off previous production car records at each circuit. What’s even more impressive? It completed the journey on the same set of road tyres and drove between each circuit on public roads.
The journey totaled over 800 kilometers, during which the car averaged just 7.8l/100km in fuel consumption. That’s efficiency and insanity rolled into one carbon-fiber missile.
Track Record Results
- Autodrom Most: 1:35.09 (4.8 seconds faster)
- Automotodrom Brno: 2:01.60 (7.1 seconds faster)
- Slovakia Ring: 2:03.60 (6.4 seconds faster)
Power, Performance, and Precision
The Praga Bohema is anything but ordinary. Under its carbon-fiber skin sits a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 developed with Litchfield, producing 700 bhp and 780 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shift, delivering a sub-3-second 0–100 km/h time.
But the numbers don’t stop there. The Bohema generates 900 kg of downforce at 250 km/h and weighs under 1,000 kg. That’s a power-to-weight ratio of 713 bhp/tonne, enough to make it one of the most agile and track-focused cars ever built for the road.
Built for Road and Track, Proven by Both
Praga’s feat wasn’t just about speed, it was about usability. Ales Jirasek, Praga’s test driver, called the Bohema “easy to drive for hundreds of kilometers” while still “coming alive on track.” That balance of refinement and raw ability is exactly what sets it apart.
The car’s structure includes a carbon monocoque with a rear-mounted chrome-moly frame. Its aero profile was honed in an F1 wind tunnel, resulting in both stability and style. Meanwhile, Surface Transform carbon disc brakes and six-piston calipers ensure fade-free stopping power.
Customer Deliveries and Goodwood Showcase
The record-breaking Bohema is more than a prototype, it’s production-ready. Praga will deliver the first three customer cars at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where the same Bohema that set the records will storm the famous hill with Ben Collins at the wheel.
Each Bohema is hand-built in the Czech Republic, tailored to the customer’s specifications. Unique interior trims, bespoke luggage compartments, and precision-crafted controls make this more than just a supercar, it’s a personal experience.
Summary
The Praga Bohema lap records at Brno, Most, and Slovakia Ring highlight a car built not only for numbers, but for pure driver enjoyment. Lightweight, powerful, and road-legal, the Bohema proves that a true performance car doesn’t need compromise. It just needs focus.
