The Porsche 911 GT3 RS redefines the limits of what’s possible on the road, drawing heavily from the brand’s motorsport legacy. With 525 PS (386 kW) from its high-revving naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six and an advanced aerodynamic and cooling system derived from racing, the GT3 RS is designed for uncompromising performance.
Central Radiator Concept for Maximum Aerodynamic Efficiency
Inspired by the 911 RSR and GT3 R race cars, the GT3 RS adopts a single, centrally-mounted radiator , replacing the traditional three-radiator layout. This innovative solution frees up space for active aerodynamic components, including adjustable front and rear wing elements. Together, they generate up to 409 kg of downforce at 200 km/h, and an astounding 860 kg at 285 km/h , triple that of the current 911 GT3.
For the first time in a production Porsche, a Drag Reduction System (DRS) allows wing elements to flatten at the touch of a button, reducing drag on straights. During emergency braking, the system switches to an airbrake configuration, enhancing deceleration.
Radical Aerodynamic Design
The GT3 RS’s aggressive design reflects its performance focus. A large swan-neck rear wing, now higher than the car’s roofline, pairs with a front splitter and side blades to precisely direct airflow. Air exits through nostrils in the front lid and roof fins improve rear intake efficiency. All aerodynamic elements , from the rear diffuser to the fender louvers , serve a functional role in managing air and increasing grip.
Suspension Tuned for the Track
Aerodynamics even extend to the suspension. The double-wishbone front axle features teardrop-shaped elements that increase front downforce by 40 kg. Wider tracks and motorsport-grade geometry reduce pitch under braking and enhance handling. Key components can be adjusted from the cockpit in Track Mode, including rebound/compression damping and rear differential settings , all displayed clearly on the digital track screen.
Pure Performance from a Naturally Aspirated Engine
Under the rear lid lies a 4.0-litre flat-six, delivering 0–100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 296 km/h. Thanks to revised camshafts and race-inspired internals, the engine maintains Porsche’s signature throttle response. The seven-speed PDK gearbox features a shorter final drive for optimal acceleration, and additional cooling ensures durability during sustained track use.
Braking Power and Lightweight Design
Stopping power comes from six-piston front calipers with 408 mm discs, while Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are available for even greater performance. Forged alloy centre-lock wheels wrapped in track-ready tyres (275/35 R20 front, 335/30 R21 rear) are standard. Despite its aero and mechanical enhancements, the GT3 RS weighs just 1,450 kg, thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) throughout the body and interior.
Clubsport and Weissach Packages
Inside, the RS treatment continues with black leather, Racetex, and carbon trim. The standard Clubsport Package adds a steel roll bar, fire extinguisher, and six-point harnesses. For the ultimate track experience, the optional Weissach Package features exposed carbon body parts, CFRP anti-roll bars and shift paddles, and even lighter magnesium wheels , reducing weight by up to 8 kg.
Exclusive Porsche Design Chronograph
Exclusively for GT3 RS owners, the Porsche Design Chronograph is built with the same precision as the car. Housed in a titanium case, it features the COSC-certified WERK 01.200 calibre with a flyback function, lap timer pushers, and motorsport-inspired design elements.
