Polestar is enhancing its Polestar 3 lineup with the introduction of the Long range Single motor variant, providing consumers with another enticing option for an electric SUV experience. Priced from £69,900, this new model offers an accessible entry point into the Polestar 3 family.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar, states, “With the Long range Single motor Polestar 3, we offer consumers a new entry-point for our flagship electric SUV. The rear-wheel drive configuration fits with our performance-focused driving dynamics that make the car stand out in the luxury SUV sector.”
The new Polestar 3 Single Motor, to be built in China and the USA, utilizes the same 111 kWh battery pack as the Dual Motor version. It offers a 250 kW peak charging capability, allowing a 10-80% charge in just 30 minutes on DC. The Long range Single motor variant delivers up to 403 miles (WLTP) between charges, making it the most efficient Polestar 3 yet.
Designed to retain the performance hallmarks of the Long range Dual motor versions, the Long range Single motor ensures an engaging driving experience. A sophisticated passive damper system, featuring Hydraulic Rebound Stops (HRS) and Frequency Selective Damping (FSD), ensures excellent ride comfort and control.
Powering the rear axle, the motor produces 220 kW and 490 Nm of torque, enabling the Long range Single motor Polestar 3 to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds. The same Brembo braking system found in the rest of the Polestar 3 range ensures reliable stopping power.
As part of the MY25 lineup, the Long range Single motor Polestar 3 offers extensive customization options. Customers can choose from six exterior colors, five interior designs, and four wheel options, including the new 21-inch alloy wheels available in the Pro Pack.
Additionally, the Pilot Pack with LiDAR from Luminar is available for the Polestar 3 Long range Single motor, enhancing safety and convenience.
