MH5 900 Limited 01/05 – behind this type designation lies nothing less than the most powerful saloon that MANHART Performance technicians have ever put on the wheels of a BMW 5 Series! The basis of the new MH5 top model, which – as the name suggests – will be produced by us in an exclusive limited edition of just five units, is the F90 M5 Competition in the model-maintained LCI version.

As is usual , the model designation already gives a clear indication of the power of the MH5 900: the data sheet shows a mighty 928 hp and 1,240 Nm!To achieve this explosion of power and torque, MANHART gave the twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 engine (S63) a MANHART turbo upgrade including carbon intake and MANHART intercooling by Wagner Tuning. At the same time, MANHART have reinforced the engine mechanics for outputs of up to 1,200 hp using Carillo pistons and H-shafted connecting rods.

The hot combustion exhaust gases from the eight-cylinder engine escape through a MANHART stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and matt black 100 mm tailpipe trims. There are also race downpipes, OPF delete replacement pipes made of stainless steel and an OPF/GFP delete, none of which have TÜV approval and are therefore only intended for export. The transformation of the M5 Competition into the MH5 900 is of course completed by our ECU remapping, which is customised to the new hardware.

The MH5 900 Limited 01/05 is also the most individualised vehicle in our MH5 model series in terms of appearance. MANHART installed a large arsenal of in-house aerodynamic and styling parts made of carbon fibre. The shimmering fibre fabric features a front spoiler at the front, the kidney-shaped radiator grille surround, a two-part front apron insert and a pair of canards on the front apron.

The fibre composite material also shimmers on the air outlets of the carbon bonnet in CS style. The flanks of the MH5 900 feature two-piece side skirts and side inserts. A two-piece roof spoiler sits enthroned above the rear windscreen, while a one-piece counterpart forms a tear-off edge on the tailgate. The carbon fibre rear diffuser with its striking fins is an unmistakable reference to motorsport.

The carbon-fibre exterior mirror caps round off the M Performance range. On its deep blue bodywork, the MH5 900 Limited 01/05 shown here bears our typical MANHART decor in copper. The wheel arches are home to MANHART Concave One forged rims in satin black with copper accent stripes. The lightweight double-spoke rims measuring 9×21 and 10.5×21 inches were fitted with high-performance tyres in 275/30ZR21 and 295/30ZR21. The rim colour can be freely configured at the customer’s request.

When it comes to MANHART suspension optimisation, MANHART leave customers spoilt for choice with the MH5 900: individually adjustable lowering and noticeably more agility are generated by MANHART coilover springs by KW Suspensions, while the optionally available MANHART coilover suspension Variant 4 by KW Suspensions guarantees even more driving dynamics.

The extremely powerful and stable carbon-ceramic brake system of the BMW M5 did not require any technical optimisation. To harmonise the look, however, MANHART painted the large brake callipers in the same colour as the car and added MANHART lettering.

MANHART also customised the passenger compartment with no less effort than the exterior: shimmering carbon wherever you look! In addition to MANHART interior package, the entire seat shells are also made of carbon fibre. The headlining was refined with soft Alcantara – matching the colour of the brown leather upholstery – including Sky Roof star firmament. There is an additional MANHART Dataview display in the cockpit and the feet rest on soft MANHART floor mats.
