Lancia Ypsilon Hybrid (2025)

“Lancia Renaissance begun in Italy with the New Ypsilon, the model that marks the brand entry into the era of electric mobility, available in both electric and hybrid versions. A few weeks since the launch of the electric version and thanks to its success, orders are now open for the 100-hp MHEV version of the New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA, to complete the top-of-the-range offering of this model.” stated Luca Napolitano Lancia brand CEO.

The first car in the brand new era was unveiled on February 14 in Milan in a 100% electric version: the exclusive New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA, available in Italy in 1906 certified and numbered units, as a tribute to the year the brand was founded.

The New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA is now also available in a hybrid version, ideal for anyone seeking versatility and respect for the environment. The car is powered by a latest-generation hybrid engine, with a displacement of 1.2 liters, 48V 3-cylinder and 100 hp (74 kW), pairing maximum efficiency with the utmost reliability. The engine has a top speed of 190 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds, although the option to switch to electric makes it possible to reduce the car’s fuel consumption and improve the driving experience, partly thanks to the fuel-efficient maneuvering systems that make its movements simultaneously fluid and dynamic, even when driving in the city. The hybrid version is only equipped with six-speed e-DCT automatic transmission and – with the support of electronic functions such as e-Start, w-Parking, e-Queuing, and e-Creeping – makes it possible to shape a driving style that most closely meets the driver’s personal requirements and preferences.

Lancia and Cassina – an outstanding Italian brand in the field high-end design world – are brought together by shared values and attributes, reflected in the attention to the stylistic details and the choice of materials and colors. New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA is a compact, sleek car that seduces at first sight of its exterior in Lancia blue, a color created specifically for this version. The design is inspired by the brand glorious past, now revisited with modernity in mind, with harmonious lines embellished with pure geometries: the front recalls the historic Lancia grille, the “chalice,” with three LED beams that make the car recognizable both day and night. In the rear, the round LED headlights are a clear homage to the Lancia Stratos, a rallying legend, and include the letter Y positioned horizontally as a new design cue. The two headlights also frame the new Lancia lettering, marked out by its original font. Finally, the 17” diamond-cut alloy wheels stand out for the prestige of the material and for the ad-hoc design, with the geometry of the spokes inspired by the letter Y in an impactful radial composition. Inside, New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA represents the ultimate expression of design, comfort, and onboard well-being, to feel at home wherever you are. Everything is designed to create a welcoming environment, from the blue velvet of the heated and massaging seats with a ribbed weave and the exclusive multifunctional tavolino bearing the Cassina signature, to the space dedicated to the driver’s seat and the refined sustainable materials made by revisiting certain traditional elements, such as the recycled velvet of the historic “Panno Lancia.” Type-approved for five people, the model is equipped with the S.A.L.A. (Sound Air Light Augmentation) infotainment system, the first time Stellantis has included it in a production car, and with Level 2 autonomous driving. The two 180° cameras, front and rear, provide an unrestricted view courtesy of blind spot monitoring, while the 10.25” displays show the maneuvering space around the car. New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA is connected for any need and is equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).

The exclusive NEW LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA MHEV version will be available from €28,000 and with a financing offer in collaboration with Stellantis Financial Services Italia, for a deposit of €6,538 and 35 monthly installments of €200, which includes a 3-year/30,000-km warranty. Nominal annual interest rate 4.99%, APR 7.01%. Financing valid for three years, after which customers can optionally keep the car by paying the remainder of €18,512.8 or can alternatively return or replace the car at the end of the contractual period. Offer valid through March 31.

Lancia fully intended to relaunch from Italy and, in the days after the official presentation of the first car in the brand’s new era at the Cassina Store Milan, the New LANCIA YPSILON EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA – 1 of 1906 tour kicked off, to present the car to the first 100 Italian dealers thar are ready with the new Corporate Identity. A journey lasting over a month, starting right from Milan, on which the New Lancia Ypsilon will cover 12,000 kilometers, taking in 60 cities in 20 regions. So far, it has already visited 60 dealers, with a total of almost 4,000 leads collected and an average of 150 invited guests at each of its stops. The tour will finish off in late March.

In terms of the brand’s internationalization process, after Italy the New Lancia Ypsilon will then also mark the brand’s return to Europe. Lancia will enter Europe with a network of over 70 new dealers in the same number of major cities, where the brand’s future customers are based. The first two countries to welcome the brand’s return from the first half of 2024 will be Belgium – with 10 dealers and 13 after-sales service points – and the Netherlands, with six dealers and the same number of after-sales service centers, which will then be followed by France and Spain. The plan to launch the car abroad will be consistent with the action taken in Italy: first a presentation to the press, then the car’s tour of the country’s dealerships, ending with test drives for the national press.

The brand’s 10-year strategic plan is therefore moving ahead in leaps and bounds, according to a solid and ambitious strategy in line with the Stellantis “Dare Forward” strategic plan. The Lancia brand’s electrification strategy includes the introduction of three new models, one every other year: from 2026 Lancia will only be launching 100% electric models and, from 2028, it will only sell 100% electric cars.

An HF version will be available for every future Lancia car, which will be introduced the year after the standard version is launched. The HF versions are high-performance cars, consistent with the brand’s most brutal, radical soul that has impassioned so many people around the world.

Each HF version will feature the recently unveiled HF logo, a reimagining of the original that was first introduced in 1960.

The Lancia Centro Stile has revisited the original logo, giving it a contemporary flair. Specifically, the historical colors of the HF logo (white, red, and black) have been reused, with no addition of visual symbols, instead with simplification and purification. The colors are those of the official logo of the 1966 Fulvia Coupé, although the letters are tilted as in the logo of the 1990s Lancia Delta, to embody speed and radicalism. The new HG logo is Progressive Classic for its reworking of all the hallmarks of the historic brand – the little elephant and lettering – in a reinterpretation to bring them into the present day and drive them ahead into the future. All the constituent elements of the brand symbolize Lancia Heritage and are simplified in terms of lines and shapes in a new balance that expresses innovation, premium positioning, and the Italian spirit, with a touch of eclecticism.

The first HF version to be launched will be the New Lancia Ypsilon HF, in mid-2025.
