The Gordon Murray S1 LM is the first car from Gordon Murray Special Vehicles (GMSV), unveiled at Monterey Car Week 2025. This one-off commission celebrates Murray’s landmark 1995 Le Mans victory while delivering an unmatched road-going experience.
Bespoke British Engineering
The S1 LM was created in collaboration with a passionate collector, making it a fully bespoke build. Every surface, from the ultra-lightweight carbon fiber panels to the aerodynamic package, was designed to maximize beauty, downforce, and performance.
V12 Power at the Center
At the heart lies a 4.3-liter V12 producing over 700 PS and revving to 12,100 rpm. The bespoke Inconel exhaust wrapped in 18-karat gold-foil highlights the engine’s performance and exclusivity. A T.50s-based manual gearbox delivers short, precise shifts for a truly engaging drive.
Aerodynamics and Handling
Front splitter, rear diffuser, and dual-element rear wing ensure stability at speed. Suspension geometry and solid-mounted engine design provide tactile feedback, sharp handling, and minimal unwanted vibration.
Central-Seat Cockpit
The cockpit places the driver at the center in a fighter jet-style layout. Minimalist architecture, lightweight materials, and ergonomic controls enhance the analog driving experience, reflecting Murray’s principles of engineering art and lightweight design.
Ultra-Exclusive Production
Only five road-legal S1 LMs will be built, with deliveries starting in 2026. Each car embodies exclusivity, craftsmanship, and a direct connection between driver and machine.
