GAC Motor has unveiled an All-New GS3 model, a new-reborn SUV designed for Gen Z at 2022 Guangzhou Auto Show.
With the design theme of “Super Mate”, an All-New GAC GS3 is designed to meet the needs of Gen Z customers, offering appearance, space, and quality that match their active lifestyle. It provides companionship of “Super Mate” to younger customers and bring them more courage and spiritual satisfaction.
The all-new GAC GS3 features a bold, striking new look, enhanced by a low profile and dynamic stance. The body side is defined by clean and taut surfaces focused on precision and volume complemented by well-defined sharp lines. The new GS3 is longer (60mm), lower (55mm), and wider (25mm) than the previous generation model. The wheelbase is increased by 90mm, while the front overhang is shortened by 31mm, contributing to an increased interior volume comparable to that of an A-class SUV.
The H-shaped front face, named “Armor Wing”, is inspired by a motorcycle helmet and offers various color and finish options to form a unique identity. The headlights are like laser eyes, emitting laser-like penetrating beams. The triangular cutting elements in taillights are designed to emulate the crystal diamond-like pulses.
For the first time, the all-new GAC GS3 is available with a new R-Style version. GS3 R-Style features aggressive design elements to complete the performance-inspired styling. The fastest 0-100km/h acceleration is 7.5 seconds in its class.
The all-new GAC GS3’s “Mobile Loft” interior provides practical features and technology that younger customers demand and a “Relax and Refresh” space. The wrap-around design of door panels and dashboards combined with a concave surface brings the feeling of relaxation and comfort. The air outlets are inspired by a propeller nozzle and decorated with bright metal accents that speak the attention to detail.
The “Crystal Shifter” has a beautiful look with crystal-like materials and is shaped ergonomically for a more comfortable, intuitive control.
The interior color options include trendy colors fairyland green, light gray with vibrant orange accents, and classic black combined with mysterious light wave blue. The seat shoulder straps are designed with artistic prints, graphical stripes, and letter elements that add visual interest.
The ambient lighting placed on door panels, instrument panel, and air outlets is customizable with 32 different colors providing a visual experience depending on the occasion.
The rear luggage compartment space is increased to 341 liters and features a flat floor that enables various customization and expansion scenarios to meet younger customers’ needs.
The all-new GAC GS3 is powered by a 1.5T high-power engine paired with a 7-speed WDCT transmission. Fuel consumption can be as low as 6.18 liters per 100 km.
