This car is equipped with the optional 409 V8, solid valve lifters and a manual transmission and was capable of a quarter mile time of 12.2 seconds. A car identical to this graced the “Beach Boys” album featuring their hit record…”409″. Chevrolet sold 1,424,000 full-size cars in 1962.
