Caterham Seven 360R: A Tribute to the RAF Puma HC2 Helicopter

Caterham and the RAF have unveiled a unique Caterham Seven 360R, crafted using components from a Puma HC2 helicopter. This one-off creation pays homage to the legendary aircraft and aims to raise over £100,000 for injured servicemen and women. The car will debut at the Formula 1 British Grand Prix and be auctioned off through Collecting Cars.

The project, a collaboration between Caterham, the RAF, Mission Motorsport, and the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, supports the Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) division. The Caterham Seven 360R features exterior panels from the helicopter, painted in ‘NATO Green,’ with the chassis finished in ‘Desert Sand.’ Inside, the aircraft’s quilted soundproofing and military-grade switchgear add unique touches.

Assembly was a joint effort between Caterham and RAF personnel, with names of contributors featured on the bonnet. This project not only celebrates the Puma’s history but also showcases the engineering skills within the RAF and the wider STEM community. Bidding for this remarkable car opens on August 15 and ends on September 12 through Collecting Cars.
