The new Kia EV4 has officially landed in the UK, and it’s a big step for the brand. This is Kia’s first-ever fully electric hatchback, designed specifically for the European market, and it’s now available to order with prices starting from £34,695.
Developed and built in Europe, the EV4 sits in the popular C-segment and brings with it a choice of two battery sizes, up to 388 miles of driving range, and the familiar Kia trim walk-up: Air, GT-Line, and GT-Line S.
With order books now open and first deliveries expected in autumn 2025, here’s a closer look at what the 2025 Kia EV4 offers UK buyers.
Battery Options and Performance
The EV4 is available with a 58.3kWh standard range or 81.4kWh long-range battery. Regardless of the battery chosen, each version features a front-mounted 150kW (201bhp) motor, delivering 283Nm of torque to the front wheels.

- EV4 Air 81.4kWh: Up to 388 miles of range (Kia’s longest yet)
- EV4 GT-Line / GT-Line S 81.4kWh: Up to 362 miles of range
Performance remains brisk across the board, with a 0–62mph time of just 7.5 seconds and a top speed of 105mph.
Charging Times
Built on Kia’s E-GMP platform, the EV4 uses 400V architecture, enabling quick charging when needed:
- 10–80% in 29 minutes (58.3kWh)
- 10–80% in 31 minutes (81.4kWh) via 350kW DC fast charging
- Full charge in 5h 20m (standard) or 7h 15m (long-range) on 11kW AC

Interior Tech and Comfort
Inside, the EV4 packs three digital screens, including a 5.3-inch climate display and Kia’s new AI-powered voice assistant (via ChatGPT). Voice commands can handle navigation, entertainment, POIs, and even trivia or jokes.
The EV4 is also the first Kia to feature ‘Theatre Mode’ and ‘Rest Mode’, transforming the cabin into a lounge during breaks or charging sessions.

As a hatchback, the EV4 is compact yet spacious:

UK Launch and What’s Next
Kia EV4 order books opened on 1 July 2025, with UK customer deliveries expected in autumn. The EV4 Fastback (saloon version) will follow soon, with specs and pricing to be announced.
The EV4 marks another step in Kia’s Plan S strategy to introduce 15 EVs globally by 2030, with nine of them headed to the UK.
