Hyundai i30 Fastback (2025)

Hyundai Motor has unveiled the new i30 family with a design and tech update. With the hatchback, fastback, and wagon body styles, as well as the sporty-looking N Line trim, customers have plenty to choose from within the i30 line-up.

The new Hyundai i30 has been outfitted with updated connectivity technologies and comfort features. This not only makes the i30 more competitive in its class but also delivers more value to customers.

Updated, daring design

Having been launched in 2007, the current i30 is already in its third generation. With an updated exterior and interior, the new generation is adding a bolder design to its roster.

The exterior is instantly recognisable by its distinct front and sleek rear. At the front, the pattern of the radiator grille, the bumper insert under the license plate, and the foglamp housings have been redesigned. At the rear of the hatchback and wagon body styles, the chrome insert of the rear bumper has a more angular look.

LED headlights and taillights, once optional, now come standard in the i30. The model also features a new 16-inch alloy wheel design.

The new Hyundai i30 will come in 12 exterior colours. Seven of the colours are new: Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Grey Pearl, Ultimate Red Metallic, Jupiter Orange Metallic, Meta Blue Pearl, Cypress Green Pearl, and Sailing Blue Pearl. Returning colours include Atlas White, Serenity White Pearl, Shimmering Silver Metallic, Shadow Grey, and Engine Red.

The design update continues inside. A special paint has been applied to the crash pad to make it more pleasant and smoother to the touch, and the central tunnel has been painted in glossy black.

The black interior can be paired with four modern seat trims: full cloth, cloth & leather, full leather, as well as textile suede & leather. Three new seat patterns have also been added. With the full-cloth interior and cloth & leather interior, the backrest features a pattern consisting of horizontal lines.

For the design upgrade, the Hyundai i30 N Line has received even sportier aesthetic elements. This is evident in the bolder grille meshes. Triple horizontal lines in red decorate the leather & textile suede interior. Once completely black, a dark metal accent has been added to the inserts of the front bumper side openings for the i30 N Line. The new side skirt comes with a dark metal insert. Customers can choose between a new 17-inch and 18-inch N Line alloy wheel design.

In-car experience keeps passengers safer and more connected

The connectivity technologies in the new i30 offer customers a more convenient in-car experience. New features include a standard 4.2-inch colour LCD cluster, three USB type-C charging ports in the front and rear, Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates, and an optional 10.25-inch fully digital cluster.

The new Hyundai i30 now comes standard with even more Hyundai Smart Sense safety features. Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) helps detect and avoid potential accidents with obstacles ahead. For safer driving on motorways, Lane Following Assist (LFA) keeps the vehicle in the current lane of travel, and Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) alerts the driver with audible and visual warnings when the vehicle exceeds the speed limit. The Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) logic warns the driver if the rear door has been opened during the journey with a message in the driver’s display cluster – to help prevent anyone or anything in the rear seat from being left behind.

Customers have the option to supplement FCA with Junction Turning for extra caution when turning left at junctions. Another optional safety system, Highway Driving Assist (HDA) 1.5, maintains the vehicle’s distance from another in the front, automatically adjusts the vehicle’s speed according to the limit and around curves, and keeps it within its current lane of travel.

More comfort for customers

Complete with even more convenience features, the new Hyundai i30 was designed to be a car for everyone. LED lights have been added to the interior and boot for better illumination. With front and rear parking sensors – Parking Distance Warning (PDW) – included as standard, drivers are warned if an obstacle is detected when the vehicle is moving forward or backwards at low speeds.

To enhance fuel efficiency, customers can opt for a powertrain with a 48V mild hybrid system. This system supports the combustion engine by adding electric power during various stages of driving, such as starting, accelerating, and recuperating.

Production of the new i30 is planned to begin in April 2024 at Hyundai’s production plant in Nošovice, Czech Republic.
