Škoda Enyaq: New Entry-Level Models Make Electric SUV More Affordable

Škoda has expanded its award-winning Enyaq electric SUV lineup with the addition of two new entry-level models, the Enyaq 50 and Enyaq 50 Edition, making the transition to electric driving more affordable. The new models are priced starting from £36,970, with orders opening on 11 July, 2024.

Both new Enyaq 50 variants feature a 55kWh battery pack (52kWh net), offering up to 234 miles of range for the Enyaq 50 and 232 miles for the Enyaq 50 Edition on the WLTP cycle. Powered by a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 170PS and 310Nm of torque, these models accelerate from 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 99mph.

Charging is efficient with a peak DC charge speed of 145kW and 11kW on an AC connection. A DC rapid charge to 80% takes around 25 minutes, while a full charge on an 11kW AC connection takes approximately five and a half hours. Both models come with an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, guaranteeing a minimum of 70% battery capacity.

Replacing the outgoing Enyaq 60 models, the new Enyaq 50 variants lower the entry cost by £2,000. Standard features include 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, Loft interior Design Selection, and a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. The Enyaq 50 Edition adds full LED Matrix beam headlights, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, privacy glass, Crew Protect Assist, additional airbags, tri-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and 15W cooled wireless charging.

The updated Enyaq range starts at £36,970 for the Enyaq 50, with the Enyaq 50 Edition priced at £38,585. The simplified lineup also includes the Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K, and the top-tier Enyaq vRS, all equipped with a larger 82kWh (77kWh net) battery pack.
