If you thought Royal Enfield couldn’t push the envelope any further, think again. The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 just got a serious custom twist, and it’s all happening at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Four jaw-dropping builds, each based on the Shotgun 650 platform, are set to tear up the legendary hill, and they’re unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 Custom Showcase
This year’s spotlight shines on the debut of the ‘Sawn Off Shotgun’ by Medaza Cycles. It’s a self-described “sports-chopper” that blends aggression with artistry. Built from the Shotgun 650 foundation, it’s a bold new direction for Royal Enfield’s Custom World program.
Joining it are three returning legends: Sure Shot’s ‘Samurai’, ICON Motosport’s ‘Always Something’, and Kingston Custom’s ‘The Kingsman’. Each bike brings its own flavor, its own story, and its own roar to the Goodwood hill.
Performance and Engineering Behind the Builds
At the heart of each custom lies the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 engine, a 648cc parallel-twin that’s known for its smooth torque and bulletproof reliability. But these builds aren’t just about looks. They’ve been reimagined with performance in mind.
From reworked frames to bespoke exhausts and upgraded suspension setups, every detail has been tuned for both form and function. Whether it’s the stretched silhouette of the Kingsman or the compact punch of the Sawn Off Shotgun, each bike is built to perform as fiercely as it looks.
Builders Take the Hill
What makes this showcase even more special is the presence of the builders themselves. Aikawa-San of Sure Shot will pilot the Samurai, bringing Japanese precision to the sprint. Dirk Oehlerking of Kingston Custom will guide the nearly 4-meter-long Kingsman up the hill with grace and grit.
Meanwhile, Don Cronin and Mick O’Shea of Medaza Cycles will debut the Sawn Off Shotgun in person, giving fans a firsthand look at their Irish-built masterpiece. ICON Motosports’ entry will be ridden by friends of the brand, keeping the energy high all weekend long.
Royal Enfield’s Custom World at Goodwood
Royal Enfield has long been known for building bikes that invite customization. The Shotgun 650 platform is no exception, it’s a blank canvas for creativity. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is the perfect stage to show what happens when that creativity is unleashed.
From July 10th to 13th, these four machines will not only be on display, they’ll be in motion, roaring up the hill and into the hearts of motorcycle fans everywhere.
Summary
The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 customs at Goodwood 2025 are more than just bikes, they’re rolling expressions of imagination and engineering. With the debut of the Sawn Off Shotgun and the return of three iconic builds, this year’s Festival of Speed is set to be unforgettable.
