Standing still means falling behind and thus the BRABUS engineers and designers are tirelessly at work developing new custom components for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) now also offers BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement components with a sporty and dynamic design for the sedans and wagons of the current C-Class that were ordered ex-factory with AMG styling.
The range of exclusive BRABUS Monoblock wheels in various designs spans from 18 to 20 inches in diameter. The BRABUS sport springs are specifically tailored to these wheels.
Another new addition to the product range is the lineup of BRABUS performance upgrades for the gasoline-powered C 300 4MATIC and the C 300d Turbodiesel.
The interior of all models can be enhanced with attractive BRABUS accessories or customized with tailor-made BRABUS fine leather appointments.
Mercedes-Benz offers the C-Class of the W/S 206 series ex-factory with an AMG Line body styling kit as an option. In order to give the bodywork components of this sporty line an even more dynamic appearance, the BRABUS design team has developed tailor-made components that are manufactured in OEM quality from high-grade PUR. The detachable parts add further sporty character to both body styles. What is more: the BRABUS front spoiler corners, which attach to the left and right end of the front bumper, are shaped like flaps and reduce front-axle lift at high speeds, resulting in further optimized handling stability.
In addition, inserts for the two side air intakes in the front fascia can bring the even more dynamic looks further to the fore still. They are fitted with LED locator lights, which are activated by the Keyless-Go system when approaching the vehicle.
The BRABUS rear spoiler was developed for the sedans of the C-Class of the 206 series and reduces rear-axle lift. To give the rear of both body styles are sportier touch, there is the set of four BRABUS tailpipes with a diameter of 90 millimeters (3.5 in) and black chrome finish. The tailpipes are combined with the production exhaust and integrated into the rear bumper by means of tailor-made brackets.
The Monoblock wheels also play a crucial role in the thrilling BRABUS looks. They can be mounted on the C-Class in various designs and with diameters from 18 to 20 inches. The two vehicles pictured here are equipped with BRABUS Monoblock Z alloys. Due to the higher load-bearing capacity, 8.5Jx19 is the largest possible size for the ten-spoke wheels on the rear axle of the wagon. The wheels carry tires of sizes 225/40 ZR 19 at the front and 255/35 ZR 19 in back. For the C-Class sedan, wheels of size 8.5Jx20 front and back with tires of sizes 225/35 ZR 20 and 255/30 ZR 20 are approved. BRABUS technology partners Continental, Pirelli and YOKOHAMA supply the optimal high-performance tires for all variants. .
BRABUS also offers the matching BRABUS sport springs, which were optimally tailored to the production shocks and lower the ride height of the C-Class by between 20 and 30 millimeters (0.8 and 1.2 in), depending on the base car.
BRABUS is home to the world’s most extensive range of engine tuning for Mercedes-Benz automobiles. Like all BRABUS components, the performance upgrades for the C-Class come with the one-of-a-kind BRABUS Tuning Warranty® of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers/ 62,000 miles (see BRABUS Warranty Terms and Conditions, updated July 2013). BRABUS recommends high-performance lubricants from MOTUL.
A boost in output by 31 kW / 42 hp (42 bhp) for the four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine of the C 300 4 MATIC is available under the BRABUS PowerXtra B30 label. The extra horses are realized by a plug-and-play module with special maps for injection, ignition and boost pressure control, which is adapted to the engine electronics. The new output of 221 kW / 300 hp (296 bhp), up from 190 kW / 258 hp (255 bhp), and a peak torque of now 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) rather than 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) as before, cuts the sprint time from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) to 5.8 seconds. The top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
The BRABUS PowerXtra D30 performance kit can be connected to the CAN bus of the C 300d Turbodiesel model by any BRABUS service center in next to no time. Like all BRABUS PowerXtra performance kits, this tuning stage also was designed to reliably prevent any impairment in the engine’s durability.
Fitted with this BRABUS tuning, the compression-ignition engine produces an additional 33 kW / 45 hp (44 bhp) and also adds 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque. A new peak output of 228 kW / 310 hp (306 bhp) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque naturally also have a positive impact on the performance on the road. The Mercedes C 300d with BRABUS engine tuning accelerates from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.6 seconds. The standard top speed limitation to 250 km/h (155 mph) remains in place unchanged. However, the significantly increased torque across the entire rev range is much more important in daily driving.
The BRABUS range also holds a host of refinement options for the interior of the current Mercedes C-Class. The product range includes custom accessories such as aluminum pedals, high-quality floor and trunk mats with BRABUS logo, as well as especially exclusive BRABUS fine leather interiors made from particularly soft and breathable leather and Alcantara.
