Kia has unveiled a teaser for its upcoming documentary series, ‘One More Round,’ offering a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the highly anticipated Tasman pickup truck. The series delves into the rigorous testing and meticulous refinement the Tasman has undergone, particularly in the challenging terrains of the Australian wilderness.
The documentary will highlight over 18,000 rounds of testing, showcasing the Tasman’s robust durability and exceptional performance. The first episode, set to release on July 22, will focus on off-road trials. Subsequent episodes will explore deep-water wading, all-terrain durability, towing tests, on-track performance, ride and handling, and feature interviews with Kia’s research and development team. Episodes will be released from July through October.
The title ‘One More Round’ symbolizes Kia’s relentless pursuit of excellence, reflecting the 1,777 specific tests conducted during the development process. Heui Won Yang, President of Kia’s R&D Division, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation and performance in bringing the Tasman to life.
The teaser and future episodes can be viewed on Kia’s official YouTube channel. The Kia Tasman will make its world premiere in the second half of 2024, with a global release planned for the first half of 2025, starting in Korea and expanding to Australia and the Africa/Middle East market.
