Genesis Takes Home Two 2022 Good Design Awards

Genesis announced today the win of two awards at the 2022 Good Design® Awards. The G90 and connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) Infotainment System both won in the Transportation category for their outstanding designs that charter new directions for innovation.

Since its launch in December 2021, the G90, as a flagship sedan with the most elegant interpretation of Genesis’ design identity and brand values, garnered several significant accolades over the past year: it was named the 2023 MotorTrend Car of the Year last November and received an IDEA award in September. The flagship sedan was also lauded for its safety features, earning the TOP SAFETY PICK+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) last year.

“The G90 is the ultimate expression of Athletic Elegance that carefully balances dynamic driving and an elegant rear seat experience,” said SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Genesis Global Design Center. “It is the result of the passion, dedication and creative collaboration of our dream design team, as well as those of our engineers at the Namyang R&D Center.”

Meanwhile, the ccIC Infotainment System, which was first featured in the GV60, elevates the driving experience of Genesis vehicles even further through an integrated user experience that connects the Head Up Display (HUD), Cluster, and Audio Video Navigation Telematics (AVNT) in a panoramic display.

The Good Design® Awards, annually presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies since 1950, celebrates design excellence in 32 different categories. The Museum carefully deliberated over 1,100 submissions to select only the best and brightest product design in each category for 2022.
