G-POWER has stepped into the spotlight with its latest project, turning the second-generation BMW M2 into a performance powerhouse. The tuner has introduced a range of upgrades that enhance both the car’s visual appeal and its performance, offering a bold new look that’s sure to grab attention.
Starting with the exterior, G-POWER has addressed the polarizing design of the BMW M2 with several carbon fiber enhancements. The front bumper now features new carbon fiber intake shrouds, and the company is also developing a carbon fiber hood, which will be revealed in the near future. The M2 now rides on custom wheels available in two distinct designs, sized at 20×9 inches up front and 21×10.5 inches at the rear, with tires measuring 285/30 and 295/25 respectively.
The rear of the car has been equally transformed. G-POWER has added a fixed carbon fiber rear wing, complemented by a carbon lip spoiler and a carbon fiber diffuser, both sourced from BMW M’s Performance Parts. The aggressive look is completed with a quad tailpipe exhaust setup that adds to the car’s already intimidating stance.
Under the hood, the G-POWER modifications really shine. The M2’s 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, known as the S58B30, has been tuned to deliver three different power outputs. The first stage boosts the engine from its stock 453 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque to an impressive 592 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque.
For those craving even more power, G-POWER offers a mid-tier option that elevates the engine’s output to 641 hp and 575 lb-ft of torque, thanks to the addition of a high-performance exhaust system and downpipes. But the ultimate upgrade is reserved for the top-tier model, which delivers a staggering 690 hp and 620 lb-ft of torque—surpassing even the BMW M8 in terms of sheer power.
G-POWER’s take on the BMW M2 comes amidst a wave of recent modifications from other tuners. In July, Dahler introduced a Stage 2 package that pushed the M2’s power to 621 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. Around the same time, Extreme Customs unveiled their own version of the M2, boosting its power to 544 hp and adding unique design elements.
With G-POWER’s latest enhancements, the BMW M2 G87 solidifies its position as a formidable contender in the high-performance sports car market, offering enthusiasts a blend of striking design and thrilling power that’s hard to beat.
