This October, the renowned Barrett-Jackson auction house will make history by auctioning the first retail production all-electric 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ, VIN 001. As part of their ongoing commitment to philanthropy, 100% of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality education for Detroit’s children.
The auction will take place during the 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos, from October 10-13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Cadillac has generously donated this groundbreaking all-electric SUV, marking the first time the luxury brand’s full-size electric SUV will be made available to the public.
“We’re honored that Cadillac is bringing the sale of their first retail production ESCALADE IQ to Barrett-Jackson,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to own a significant piece of automotive history, and we are proud that 100 percent of the proceeds will support children’s education throughout Detroit.”
The ESCALADE IQ represents a significant milestone for Cadillac, a brand that has dominated the luxury full-size SUV segment for over a decade. Powered by GM’s innovative modular EV propulsion system, the ESCALADE IQ features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration capable of delivering over 200 kWh of power. With an estimated range of 460 miles on a full charge, 750 horsepower, and 785 lb-ft of torque, this SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds in Velocity Max mode.
“The 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ redefines what a luxury SUV can be,” said GM President Mark Reuss. “It combines iconic design, cutting-edge craftsmanship, and advanced technology. We’re excited to partner with Barrett-Jackson on this auction, with all proceeds going to the Detroit Children’s Fund.”
Inside, the ESCALADE IQ features a futuristic 55-inch curved diagonal pillar-to-pillar display and an available 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference audio system. The executive second-row seating package includes 14-way power-adjustable seats, massaging functionality, stowable tray tables, dual wireless charging pads, personal screens, and a rear command center. A panoramic fixed-glass roof and power-operated doors further enhance the luxury experience.
Barrett-Jackson has a long-standing tradition of philanthropy, having raised over $155 million for charitable causes over the past five decades. This unique auction continues their legacy, offering one lucky bidder the chance to own a truly historic vehicle while contributing to a vital cause.
