Urban Automotive is proud to reveal it has been trusted with the transformation of Olly Murs’ beloved Land Rover Defender 110, managing a comprehensive refresh of his classic 4×4 just in time for the birth of his and his wife Amelia’s first child.
The five-time UK chart topper, also famous for appearing as a judge on TV talent show The Voice, was recently spotted at Urban Automotive’s Milton Keynes HQ collecting his reimagined Land Rover, and was pictured snapping the vehicle on his mobile phone during a customer handover with company founder Simon Dearn.
Before unveiling the transformed Defender, Murs revealed how he will use the car for his new life as a parent with family focused activities such “staycations, camping holidays and tents.”
Murs’ choice of modifications included a full ‘Best of British’ exterior design pack, 18’’ Urban Cruiser alloys, LED lighting and upgraded suspension, giving the iconic 4×4 an aggressive new look. Urban Automotive’s team also carried out a light restoration and paintwork refresh, leaving the Defender 110 looking even better than when it originally left the factory.
For the bespoke vehicle modifier, the project presented an opportunity to go back to its roots – Urban Automotive was originally founded as a specialist for the original Land Rover Defender 90 and 110 models, building high-end vehicle conversions under the Urban Truck brand.
Olly Murs is the latest customer of Urban Automotive’s growing portfolio of one-off or low volume custom luxury vehicles built for celebrities and high-profile individuals across the globe, with previous clients including Jesy Nelson, Scott Disick and Marcus Rashford.
All Urban Automotive styling kits are designed and fitted at the company’s headquarters, with each commission offering comprehensive customisation options spanning exterior design, alloy wheels, bespoke interior specifications and enhanced Milltek Sport performance exhausts.
