Callum Skye – Multi-Terrain AWD EV

CALLUM, the esteemed British design and engineering firm, is set to unveil its first own-brand vehicle, the CALLUM SKYE, at the prestigious Concours on Savile Row in London on May 22-23, 2024. This pioneering high-performance, all-wheel-drive, multi-terrain electric vehicle has already garnered global acclaim since its announcement in November 2023.

A New Standard in Electric Vehicle Design

The CALLUM SKYE is engineered to deliver an exhilarating driving experience on and off the road. It features a 42kWh battery that offers an anticipated range of 170 miles, with an option for ultra-fast charging that can fully recharge the battery in under ten minutes. Measuring 4,047mm in length and 1,900mm in width, and weighing just 1,150kg, the SKYE boasts sportscar-like performance, accelerating from 0-60mph in under four seconds.

Premiering at Concours on Savile Row

The first running prototype of the CALLUM SKYE will be showcased outside Edward Sexton’s store during the free-to-attend event. This occasion celebrates the historical connection between car manufacturers and tailors, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship that defines both industries.

David Fairbairn, Managing Director at CALLUM, expressed his excitement: “The CALLUM SKYE is bold, beautifully engineered, and crafted with refinement. Much like the bespoke tailoring on Savile Row, we anticipate that the SKYE will captivate event visitors, offering them a first-hand look at this remarkable vehicle.”

Interior Design: Refined and Functional

In advance of the SKYE’s debut, CALLUM has revealed renders of its interior design. The refined 2+2 enclosed cabin features a sleek, pillar-like centre console bridge with tactile, rotary touchscreen dials for easy control of HVAC and other key features. The dashboard emphasizes functionality and simplicity, with a central touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The front seats are cossetting sports seats, while the rear features a versatile bench seat suitable for children. This bench can be removed to create a configurable load space, accessible via a hinged tailgate, making it perfect for transporting luggage and various sports and outdoor equipment.

Ian Callum, Design Director at CALLUM, explained the interior philosophy: “The design intention is incredibly disciplined, including only necessary elements to maximize space. The geometric shapes inside complement the beautiful exterior forms, retaining the honesty of SKYE as a capable and durable lifestyle vehicle, while offering a refined cabin experience.”

Exclusive Low Volume Production

CALLUM plans to put the SKYE into exclusive low-volume production. Adam Donfrancesco, Engineering Director at CALLUM, shared his enthusiasm: “Designing and developing our own vehicle from the ground up is an incredible undertaking, but our team, turning five years old in June, is well-equipped for the challenge. Visitors to Concours on Savile Row will witness our prototype developments and our progress so far.”

Orders Now Open

Enthusiasts can now reserve a CALLUM SKYE, with prices starting between £80k and £110k. The vehicle will be available in various models, including both on- and off-road focused variants. Detailed specifications of these derivatives will be announced throughout 2024.
