BYD Announces UK Pricing for the New SEAL 6 DM-i Saloon and Touring

BYD SEAL 6 DM-i

The BYD SEAL 6 DM-i marks the next chapter in the brand’s expansion, offering hybrid efficiency and impressive range. Available as both a Saloon and a Touring, the new model starts at £33,990 and brings BYD’s Super Hybrid DM-i technology to UK buyers for the first time.

Two body styles, one hybrid system

The SEAL 6 DM-i comes in two forms , a sleek Saloon and the more practical Touring estate. Both share the same hybrid setup that pairs an efficient petrol engine with an electric motor, giving a total range of up to 935 miles in the Saloon and up to 839 miles in the Touring.

Trim levels and standard equipment

The range is split into two trims: Boost and Comfort. Even the entry-level Boost offers strong value, with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 12.8-inch touchscreen, vegan leather upholstery, automatic lights and wipers, and a 3.3kW onboard charger.

The Comfort grade adds larger 18-inch wheels, a 15.6-inch screen, a faster 6.6kW charger, panoramic roof, ambient lighting, and heated and ventilated seats with driver memory. It also upgrades safety tech with front sensors and a 360-degree camera.

First BYD wagon for Europe

The SEAL 6 DM-i Touring is the brand’s first estate car for the European market. It blends elegant design with practicality , offering 500 litres of luggage capacity with the seats up and 1,535 litres when folded. A power tailgate and quick-release seat handles come standard on all versions.

Performance and efficiency

The Boost version produces 135 kW, while the Comfort reaches 156 kW. Both use BYD’s Blade Battery , 10.08 kWh in Boost and 19 kWh in Comfort , delivering electric-only ranges of up to 87 miles in city driving. Top speed is 112 mph, and 0–62 mph takes 8.5 to 8.9 seconds depending on trim.
