Aston Martin Unveils the New Vanquish in a Spectacular World Premiere at Venice

Aston Martin made an unforgettable mark last night with the world premiere of its new V12 flagship sports car, the Vanquish, in the iconic city of Venice. Set against the enchanting backdrop of the Venice International Film Festival, the Vanquish debut was nothing short of spectacular, captivating an exclusive audience of film stars, fashion icons, and cultural luminaries.

The stunning reveal took place on the waters of the Venetian Lagoon, where Aston Martin unveiled the highly anticipated Vanquish in front of a select gathering at the Marina Militare. The event was graced by five Academy Award-winning actors, including George Clooney, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Douglas, Kevin Costner, and Adrien Brody. They were joined by other celebrities such as Daniel Craig, Joe Alwyn, Micheal Ward, Joel Edgerton, Haley Bennett, Cailee Spaeny, and BAFTA award-winning director Joe Wright.

The evening’s entertainment was headlined by Grammy-nominated musician Masego, Italian jazz performer Walter Ricci, and international DJ James Righton. Guests enjoyed a canal-side cocktail reception accompanied by famous film scores and traditional Venetian Bellinis, followed by a three-course dinner curated by the Michelin-starred restaurant Dolada, known for its responsibly sourced cuisine.

Aston Martin’s choice of the Arsenale di Venezia as the venue was a nod to the brand’s rich heritage of craftsmanship and innovation. The historic site, dating back to 1104, once housed thousands of artisans and was a pioneer in assembly-line production during the Middle Ages. Today, it serves as a cultural hub and the venue for the Venice Biennale, making it a fitting location for the launch of an automotive masterpiece.

The Vanquish, described as a piece of automotive art, completes Aston Martin’s latest generation of front-engine sports cars. It follows the successful launches of the DB12 in May 2023 and the Vantage in February 2024. Revealed by Aston Martin Aramco Formula One® Team drivers Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso just a day after the Italian Grand Prix, the Vanquish reinforces Aston Martin’s deep connection between road and track.

Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin, expressed the significance of this launch: “The arrival of Vanquish is a seminal moment for Aston Martin, completing the newest and strongest portfolio in our segment and reinforcing our ultra-luxury positioning. This launch toasts the renaissance of our iconic brand and the unique combination of timeless design, craft mastery, and engineering innovation which defines our new generation of sportscars.”

Limited to just 1,000 units per year, the new Vanquish is set to be Aston Martin’s highest performance sports car in its core product lineup. It revives the legendary nameplate, last seen in 2018, and introduces a bespoke, Aston Martin-developed 12-cylinder engine, making it a true collector’s piece. The Vanquish name, synonymous with cinematic moments, now returns to the spotlight, continuing its legacy in automotive excellence.
