AC Cars, Britain’s oldest active vehicle manufacturer, has unveiled the first images of the highly anticipated AC Cobra GT Coupe. This marks the debut of the official AC Cobra coupe, derived from an enhanced version of the AC Cobra GT Roadster platform and reflecting the company’s storied racing heritage.
The AC Cobra GT Coupe pays homage to AC’s early victories, including the Monte Carlo Rally and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with motorsport-inspired enhancements that make it a unique addition to the AC Cobra lineup. Combining the classic AC Cobra design with a sleek, contemporary coupe profile, this new model continues the company’s tradition of innovation and performance.
The coupe retains key features from the Roadster while drawing inspiration from the iconic AC A98 coupe that competed in the 1964 Le Mans race. This model will be produced at AC Cars’ UK facilities, featuring an advanced aluminium chassis and optimised carbon-fibre body.
To celebrate the launch, AC Cars is introducing the extreme Clubsport Edition, limited to just 99 units and equipped with a 799bhp V8 powertrain. These exclusive models will be the first to be delivered, starting at the end of 2025. Following this, the standard production coupe will offer either a 450bhp (456 PS) naturally aspirated V8 or a 720bhp (730 PS) supercharged option, starting at £325,000 + taxes. Reservations for both the AC Cobra GT Coupe and Clubsport Edition are now open at ac.cars.

The AC Cobra GT Coupe signifies a milestone for the brand, as the original AC Cobra was only available as a roadster. The new coupe maintains the distinctive shoulder line of the Roadster while incorporating the historic Kammtail rear design, inspired by the 1964 AC A98 coupe. This design element enhances aerodynamics and performance, a nod to the car’s racing legacy.
With a wheelbase of 2570mm, and dimensions of 4225mm in length and 1980mm in width, the new coupe mirrors the Roadster’s proportions. It features a near-perfect 50:50 weight balance and a low centre of gravity. The Clubsport Edition is targeted to have a kerb weight under 1450kg, ensuring exceptional agility and performance.
