The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 has officially landed, and it’s far more than just a race-prepped version of the road car. Developed entirely in Sant’Agata Bolognese, this is Lamborghini’s first competition car built from the ground up in-house, from design to engineering. It marks a new chapter for the brand’s motorsport ambitions.
A Purebred Racer from Day One
What sets the Temerario GT3 apart is its motorsport-first development. Lamborghini designed the road-going Temerario with a track version in mind from the very beginning. The GT3 now delivers on that vision, blending extreme engineering, advanced aerodynamics, and a deep focus on performance and reliability.
From chassis to cabin, every component has been optimized for real-world racing.
Lightweight Chassis Built for Competition
The GT3 borrows its aluminum spaceframe chassis from the road model, but transforms it for motorsport. Engineers reworked the structure to improve serviceability and reduce weight. A full roll cage is integrated, and both front and rear subframes are now removable for quick pit lane maintenance.
Carbon bodywork, engineered jointly by Squadra Corse and Lamborghini Centro Stile, minimizes mass while maximizing downforce and cooling.
Power Meets Precision: Twin-Turbo V8 Delivers
Under the hood lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, derived from the street-legal version but adapted to GT3 spec. It delivers 550 horsepower through a custom six-speed transverse gearbox, re-engineered for a wide operating range and high durability.
Thanks to race-specific turbos, a flat-plane crankshaft, and titanium connecting rods, the engine offers lightweight response and thrilling sound. A bespoke Capristo exhaust completes the power package.
Race-Ready Dynamics and Suspension
The Temerario GT3 sports a longer wheelbase and wider track than its predecessor, enhancing high-speed stability. New 6-way adjustable KW dampers, shared with Lamborghini’s SC63 LMDh project, allow lightning-fast tuning.
Quick-change suspension mounts and 18-inch wheels from Ronal AG make setup and repair faster than ever. A tailored hydraulic steering rack ensures maximum feedback and consistent performance across various tire suppliers.
A Cockpit Designed for Endurance and Focus
Inside, Lamborghini enlisted its factory drivers to shape the driving experience. The result is an ergonomic cockpit with intuitive controls, improved graphics, and enhanced data logging.
The race steering wheel was developed in-house for high functionality and driver comfort, while the electronic systems are Lamborghini-tuned for optimal control and response.
Ready for the Global Stage
The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 will conclude development during the 2026 season. Its first competitive outing is set for the Sebring 12 Hours in March. Lamborghini will support teams running both the new GT3 and the current Huracán through this motorsport transition.
Summary
The Lamborghini Temerario GT3 proves that performance isn’t just about speed, it’s about strategy, refinement, and vision. From its Sant’Agata roots to its upcoming race debut, this car embodies Lamborghini’s evolving motorsport DNA. Expect it to make waves in GT3 racing around the world.
