Kia has officially premiered its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) concepts in Europe at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover, Germany. Kia’s PBVs, designed to revolutionize the light commercial vehicle (LCV) sector, include the PV5 and PV7 concepts, showcasing the brand’s commitment to purpose-built electric vehicles (EVs). Backed by a 7-year/150,000 km warranty, these vehicles charge from 10-80% in just 30 minutes, setting a new standard in efficiency and flexibility.

Alongside the unveiling, Kia announced a strategic collaboration with Geotab to enhance fleet management capabilities. This partnership aims to provide advanced fleet solutions such as route optimization and vehicle monitoring. Furthermore, Kia will partner with Petit Forestier Group to explore refrigerated vehicle options, expanding its offerings for business customers.

Kia’s PBVs feature impressive adaptability, making them ideal for both private and business use. With optimized charging networks, AI-powered interfaces, and vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, they offer flexibility, lower running costs, and productivity across various industries. The first production PBV is set to launch in summer 2025, marking a new chapter in Kia’s electrification journey.
