Six Generations of Maserati Quattroporte Shine at Salon Privé

Maserati recently marked a significant milestone in automotive history, celebrating 60 years of its iconic Quattroporte at Salon Privé Blenheim. The event, hosted by Maserati Club UK, paid tribute to the longest-running nameplate in the brand’s illustrious history by showcasing all six generations of the Quattroporte in a grand display.

A Special Celebration of Maserati’s Quattroporte Legacy
In honor of this remarkable anniversary, Maserati Club UK organized a special event aptly named ‘Quattroparty,’ where nearly 80 cars were exhibited, including 41 pristine examples of the Quattroporte spanning from its early years to the present day. The celebration took place during Salon Privé Supercar Saturday & Club Trophy presented by Lockton on the North Lawn of Blenheim Palace. Each generation of the Quattroporte was represented, with owners proudly displaying their vehicles and sharing stories of their cherished cars with attendees.

Michael Roberts, Chairman and Director of Maserati Club UK, expressed his admiration for the event and the dedication of the Maserati enthusiasts who made it possible. “It is splendid to have such an impressive array of Quattroportes at Salon Privé Blenheim to celebrate one of the Trident brand’s most iconic and longest-running models,” he said. “The Club is grateful to everyone who came together to make it possible. As we see the brand evolving and looking to the future, it is important for us to also look back and celebrate the incredible heritage that continues to inspire us all and our passion for the brand and its extraordinary, special creations.”

The Evolution of the Quattroporte
Launched in 1963, the Maserati Quattroporte, which means “four doors” in Italian, was a pioneering model that combined the elegance of a grand tourer with the practicality of a luxury saloon. Over the past six decades, the Quattroporte has evolved through multiple generations, each pushing the boundaries of design, performance, and luxury. From the sleek lines and powerful V8 engines of the early models to the advanced technology and refined luxury of the latest versions, the Quattroporte has consistently set benchmarks in the automotive world.

Awards and Notable Highlights
During the event, the Salon Privé Club Car Trophy Parade awarded honors to an MC20 owned by Brian Goldman and a Quattroporte II owned by Thierry Dehaeck. The latter, despite its rarity, was driven from Belgium, demonstrating the enduring appeal and drivability of the Quattroporte.

Maserati’s Future Shines Bright
In addition to celebrating its storied past, Maserati showcased its future at Salon Privé. The all-new GranCabrio Trofeo made its UK debut on the official Maserati stand, accompanied by the GranTurismo Trofeo and the GranTurismo Folgore, the latter being Maserati’s first electric vehicle. These models highlight the brand’s commitment to innovation while staying true to its rich Italian heritage.

The event also featured the MC20 Cielo, Maserati’s flagship model, which dazzled crowds with its stunning Rosso Vincente finish. This dramatic spyder supercar, equipped with a twin-turbo three-litre V6 Nettuno engine, exemplifies the brand’s dedication to blending performance with luxury.

As Maserati looks forward to the future, the legacy of the Quattroporte continues to inspire, reminding enthusiasts and the automotive industry alike of the brand’s enduring impact on the world of luxury cars.
