Volkswagen is elevating the Tiguan’s performance with a new, powerful petrol variant set to hit the UK market on 15 August. The Tiguan R-Line 2.0 TSI 265 PS stands as the most powerful petrol Tiguan available, boasting advanced features and dynamic handling.
The Tiguan R-Line 2.0 TSI 265 PS is equipped with a seven-speed DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive, making it a standout in the Tiguan lineup. It joins the ranks alongside the R-Line 272 PS eHybrid, which features a 1.5 TSI engine and six-speed DSG.
This new model enhances driving dynamics with Volkswagen’s DCC Pro adaptive chassis control system. The system includes innovative two-valve shock absorbers, akin to those used in motorsport, ensuring superior road handling and responsive performance.
With a top speed of 150 mph and a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 5.9 seconds, the Tiguan R-Line 2.0 TSI 265 PS delivers impressive power. It combines agility and performance with the practical benefits of a spacious 652-litre boot, a premium interior, and the latest infotainment and digital cockpit technology.
The Tiguan remains Volkswagen’s top-selling model globally, with over 7.5 million units sold worldwide and more than 25,000 registered in the UK in 2023 (excluding the seven-seat Tiguan Allspace).
Available from 15 August, the Tiguan R-Line 2.0 TSI 265 PS is priced at £47,540 OTR, and can be ordered through any Volkswagen UK Retailer.
