Frontline MGB LE60 V8 Restomod Makes USA Debut at Monterey Car Week

Frontline MGB LE60 V8 Restomod Makes USA Debut at Monterey Car Week

To celebrate MG’s centenary, British restomod specialist Frontline Cars will unveil the V8-powered LE60 at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering and other events during Monterey Car Week in California from August 9–18. This marks the first American appearance of the all-new LE60, a high-performance restomod of the classic MGB.

Founded in 1991 by Tim Fenna, Frontline has established itself as a leading name in the restomod industry, blending classic MGB design with modern engineering. At Monterey, the company will showcase the USA-specific Bespoke roadster and the highly anticipated LE60, Frontline’s inaugural V8 model.

The LE60, a tribute to both the MGB’s 60th anniversary and Frontline’s 30 years, is limited to just 30 units worldwide. It features a 4.8-litre Rover V8 engine producing 375 bhp, nearly four times the power of the original MGB. With a modernised chassis, custom suspension, and advanced braking system, the LE60 offers a thrilling driving experience while maintaining a near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

Tim Fenna, Founder and Chief Engineer, shared his excitement about showcasing at Monterey Car Week, noting the strong American appreciation for classic British sports cars and V8 engines. He sees the LE60 as a celebration of Frontline’s heritage and a chance to connect with fellow enthusiasts.

The LE60 combines elements of Frontline’s previous models, the LE50 and Abingdon Editions, to create a blend of touring and sports car qualities. Each LE60 is bespoke, tailored to the customer’s preferences, with a personalized approach akin to a Saville Row suit.

Frontline is committed to delivering exceptional service both in the UK and for American customers, with a tailored formula and aftersales support. Those interested in the LE60 or seeking a test drive can contact conner@frontline-cars.co.uk.
