Chevrolet has introduced a special edition of the C8 Corvette for the Japanese market, dubbed the Red Flame Series. This exclusive model will be limited to just 40 units, aiming to expand the Corvette’s appeal in Japan.
The Red Flame Series will be available in both Coupe and Convertible versions, with an equal split of 20 units for each body style. Customers can choose between two distinctive finishes: Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat or Carbon Flash Metallic.
The Coupe models will feature carbon fiber trim around the 6.2-liter V8 engine, which is mid-mounted. Meanwhile, the Convertible variants will include a small transparent panel in the engine bay, allowing a view of the V8 when the roof is operated.
For those opting for the Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat, the vehicle will come with full-length dual racing stripes and 5-spoke aluminum wheels in Carbon Flash. The interior will boast a light beige upholstery, red brake calipers, GT2 bucket seats, and a stealth interior trim package.
The Carbon Flash Metallic models, on the other hand, will have 20-spoke aluminum wheels with red stripes. Their interiors will be dressed in Adrenaline Red Dip, providing a vibrant contrast to the understated exterior.
Interested buyers should act quickly and contact their local Chevrolet dealerships, as these limited models are expected to sell out swiftly. The Red Mist Metallic Tint Coat and Carbon Flash Metallic Coupe versions are priced from 17,400,000 yen (around $108,000), while the Convertible models start at 18,900,000 yen (around $117,000). Deliveries are set to begin in September.
Chevrolet began selling the C8 Corvette in Japan in 2020, with customer deliveries starting in May 2021. The high-performance Corvette Z06 is also available in Japan, initially offered only in a black configuration.
