Boreham Motorworks, the high-performance division of DRVN Automotive Group, has entered a global brand license agreement with Ford Motor Company to produce and remaster some of Ford’s most legendary road, race, and rally vehicles.
The first vehicle in this series marks the return of the iconic Ford RS200 by Boreham Motorworks, celebrating its fortieth anniversary with a new, ground-up build of a road-legal Group B-inspired drivers’ car. Originally designed for the World Rally Championship, the Ford RS200 gained fame for its mid-engine layout, advanced four-wheel-drive system, and lightweight composite body.
In addition to the RS200, Boreham Motorworks will continue Ford’s historical legacy with faithful recreations of other significant models, including the renowned Ford MK1 Escort. Known for its motorsport success in the late 1960s, the MK1 Escort’s lightweight design and agile suspension setup made it a dominant force on both road and rally stages.
“We are thrilled to partner with Ford Motor Company on this monumental project,” said Darren McDermott, Executive Chairman of DRVN Automotive Group. “Our goal is to redefine automotive innovation, delivering exceptional driver engagement and design excellence. This series will offer a unique analogue driving experience and leave a lasting legacy for enthusiasts.”
Limited in production, each remastered icon will feature continuation VIN numbers. Customers will have exclusive access through The Boreham High Performance Club, providing immersive driving experiences globally.
The series will showcase at least five more iconic Ford vehicles, with the debut of the Ford MK1 Escort continuation scheduled later this year. Enthusiasts can register their interest on the Boreham Motorworks website at borehammotorworks.com.
Will Ford, General Manager of Ford Performance Motorsports, added, “From our initial meetings with Boreham Motorworks and DRVN, we recognized their exciting vision for reviving our iconic nameplates. We look forward to seeing their creativity and passion come to life as they redefine these classics for a new generation.”
This collaboration coincides with Ford Performance Motorsports’ global expansion efforts, including the introduction of the Mustang GT3 at Le Mans and preparations for the Dakar Rally 2025 with the new Ford Raptor.
