Ford’s flagship sedan, the all-new Taurus has arrived in the Middle East, primed to maintain its legendary and legacy status in the region. Blending seamless connectivity, high on-road performance, and an entirely new sleek modern design, Taurus boasts the style and substance synonymous with the moniker.

“The all-new Taurus is an exceptionally important vehicle for us, and an incredibly popular nameplate for our customers across the Middle East,” said Andrew Gregory, Brand Marketing Manager at Ford Middle East. “It’s with that in mind that we bring the all-new Taurus to market on a completely different platform, so as to deliver even more innovations and segment-leading class to the nameplate’s loyal owners.”

Built on an entirely different platform to the previous model, this new Taurus sets out from the style stalls from a distance, showcasing classy body colour rocker panel mouldings, stainless steel exterior door frame mouldings, and body colour power-deployable door handles.

A trapezoidal grille with black mesh and chrome surrounds complements a bright chrome light applique tailgate, dual exhaust, and the proud, refined Taurus stance on available 19-inch, 10-spoke polished alloy wheels.

Premium touches of Taurus really come to the fore with its full LED welcome and farewell animations. Including body side and trunk lamps with laser etching style, sequential turn at body side and deck lid lamp, reverse, rear fog, central high-mounted stop lamp, full width trunk lamp, and individual assembled skirt – all illuminating in either amber, red or white – the warm reception you receive from Taurus

Thoroughly welcomed, you’re invited to slide inside the noise-insulated interior, which retains the sophisticated rotary gear knob shifter. Though sleeker and slightly shorter, the innovative design of Taurus sees it increase head room in both the front and back, with an even bigger-than-before cavern-like, 520-litre capacity trunk. An expansive dual panel panoramic moonroof lets light flood the cabin, lending a sense of exceptional space.

Ambient lighting, even in default Ice Blue for Titanium, gives an air of warmth with seven colours available – including a light interior environment unique to the Middle East. Illuminating above air registers, front and rear door spears, the centre console and the footwells, legacy customers can rest assured the high standards of excellence that Taurus is known for have been maintain.

Where Taurus claims its literal and figurative biggest win is its best-in-class multi-function 13.2-inch centre touchscreen – complementing the big 8-inch digital instrument panel cluster – which proves to be the heart of the sedan’s connective experience, loaded with Ford’s exceptional, intuitive SYNC4Ò technology.

The customer-ready communications, entertainment and information system is operated via the touch screen, steering wheel, or voice-activation, and offers seamless smartphone connectivity. Inductive wireless charging means no unsightly cables clog the cabin when your smartphone is low on power, though a conveniently-located USB port can help restore battery potency to other devices in need of a boost. Keep the whole cabin entertained with your choice of tunes pouring mellifluously from six strategically-placed speakers.
