2026 FIA World Rally Championship Calendar Unveiled

The 2026 FIA World Rally Championship calendar has been revealed, bringing 14 rounds across four continents in a season designed for both excitement and competitive balance. The schedule blends legendary rallies with newer destinations, giving fans a mix of heritage and fresh energy.

Kicking off with Rallye Monte-Carlo from 22 to 25 January, crews will face France’s icy alpine roads. A Saturday night street stage in the heart of Monte Carlo adds glamour to one of motorsport’s most iconic events. From there, the season travels through snow, gravel, and asphalt rallies, ensuring variety right from the start.

A Calendar Built with Purpose

The 2026 FIA World Rally Championship calendar features a thoughtful flow, avoiding long sequences of similar surface types. Asphalt events in Croatia, the Canary Islands, and Japan sit alongside the snow of Sweden and gravel classics like Kenya and Portugal. This balance keeps the competition unpredictable and thrilling.

Key Sporting Changes for 2026

A major adjustment sees Rally Japan moved to May. This break between gravel events limits the disadvantage of road sweeping for early points leaders, helping to create a fairer fight. WRC Promoter Managing Director Jona Siebel emphasised that the sequence of events was shaped by feedback from teams and drivers to improve the championship’s rhythm.
