This 1960 Chevrolet pickup truck was manufactured in Brazil and took part in the 2005 “Old Way Expedition”, which was a 10,000 mile journey from Brazil to Michigan celebrating GM do Brasil’s 80th anniversary.
The truck was presented to the GM Heritage Center by the leader of the expedition; Luiz Fanfa retired PR Director of GM do Brasil. The pickup truck played such an important role in the rapidly emerging economy of Brazil in the ‘60s and ‘70s that it was officially called the Chevrolet Brasil. The outline map of Brazil is incorporated in the vehicle’s Chevrolet bowtie logos.
